Article: “Language, speech and identity”Summary: The milestones that build the Jewish identity. The therapeutic efficiency is not found only in the content of what is interpreted, but also in the style, the time, the way, and the organization of the discourse. There is also a mention of how difficult it is to find a common code with each other to understand without mastering a foreign language or someone else’s mother’s tongue. There is a parallel between this situation and the Babel tower.

This book (200 pages) is based on a Post Doctoral Thesis and is about the ability to cure that was conferred to the priests (“Cohanim”) during biblical times, by G’d which was later on was given to doctors. The cure through the “spoken word” is a determining factor to Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalysis theory. Although Freud dedicated his life to make a disclaim that psychoanalysis was not a Jewish science.
